This is something I debate internally constantly. I am not in favour of a vanguard party, nor of undemocraticly formed and unaccountable (from the bottom) administration groups. That said, I do feel like unless the major powers (especially the US) don’t have a socialist revolution first, then any country who does will be demolished because it will have no tools to fight back (military, diplomacy, trade relations) that a more centralized entity can employ with greater agility. So where I always land is that I’m a libertarian socialist (or anarchosocialist) who will work towards bottom up solutions but I will work with and support a Marxist-Lenninist revolution if one comes.

I don’t see any overlap between anarchism and fascism (they are basically opposite)!so I can’t understand why anyone who calls themselves such would make such an alliance. Even the so-called anarcho-capitalists often make the mistake of believing they can achieve freedom by aligning with the right, but that’s immensely foolish. I assume they either know that what they’re working towards is neofeudalism or they don’t know what feudalism is because that is the logical endpoint of their ideology, and thus they are not anarchists. It’s a complex spectrum. I’m trying to find the time and energy to write about market socialism again. I have a whole article outlined just sitting in the wings.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately as well about what people call the center. I think our entire framing of politics is confused. Like given that the politics of the left are in favour of the many and politics of the right are in favour of the few, it stands to reason that the actual spectrum of possible political views is also weighted to the left, meaning the so-called center is actually very far to the right. My conception is somewhat like this: |——-“Left Politics”—————|Ctr|R| As you can see, I can’t even fit the full words the form such a small portion of the spectrum. I might mock up a Political Compass using this framing.
