talking about gender with a friend here last night. she just recently (after talking to ChatGPT) realized that gender and sexuality are separate parts of a person. she is curious because she'd never known a trans person to meditate or think deeply about the inner self, only who focus heavily on outward appearance. I assured her that any sort of awakening I have in the future won't change the way I see my gender, but that overall I see it as a less and less important part of my being. I assume this also just comes with getting older, but more so with becoming.

The beautify of recognizing that gender is a social construct applied to the metaphysical self and other around which perception has been shaped largely through male-dominated institutions is that it frees one from their compulsive need to binary anything. This is wonderful because there are effectively no binaries in the universe.
