Sitting on a lake with one person on my left and another on my right, each recording a live or recording a TikTok. It’s more annoying than a loud person on the phone sitting next to me in a restaurant.

As a rule, I don’t mind some picture, video taking while camping, but editing/posting is a faux pas. Wait until you’re home.

I’m not being prescriptive other than to say it feels wrong now. There weren’t many of us out there. Now the streets and public spaces are saturated with people doing this shit. I feel intrusive and rude and think people should just be able to live their lives without being bothered

Like you mean posting anything to social networks in general? I agree with that in principle, but it's limiting socially, for what may be only minor privacy gains. 

Firstly, on the "with all the government surveillance happening" part: 
government surveillance isn't new. Not even, AI based surveillance. Facebook had the Prism deal way back when (I think like 2008) and in Canada we literally had to opt-out once the RCMP started buying all the Clearview AI facial recognition data (back in 2021). It's bad and it's not new. That's not to say turn to nihilism, but it is a bit late, especially if your phone still came with you, and especially if you used google maps to get where you were going in the first place.

Secondly, and I always come back to this. Is this issue sharing where you've been with friends and followers? Or is the issue the existence of government intelligence agencies and for-profit data collection companies? It's my opinion that we should direct our anger at the right people. It's not the vapid influencer who craves attention, but the aparatuses that eat that information and shit poison.
