Ayam penyet. This has to be an Indonesian dish, not a Malaysian one. Usually there is tempeh as well, but this one was quite good. I did ask for less rice though, since it’s a scorching 32°C (and I don’t want to fall asleep with the carb slump)

The best in SG is found at Bebek Goreng Pak Ndut, especially if you are a big fan of chili and sambal. They are known for their fried duck but also have chicken too.

thank you for the tip! (i am unlikely to go to the malaysian location - a bit too far, in a mall; lucky plaza though, just a short walk)

it may not stand out in malaysia cos food is just so much better there in general, but in SG, this is so good (and authentic!) do try their oxtail soup too if you get the chance.

quick google suggests they have one in malaysia too, at sunway pyramid. i will try it at lucky plaza next time though, since i usually just stay around the corner, thanks for the tip!
