Is your attestation sound? An attestation can be valid without being true. Mistaking one for the other can lead to flawed trust assumptions. When building on attestations, ask yourself. "Is this attestation sound, or just valid?"

Valid + True = Sound Valid = math checks out (signature/proof verify) True = data reflects reality / consensus (sky is blue) You can have something signed that is valid, but the underlying data might not be true. So understanding the trust assumptions of what makes the data "true" is as important as it is "valid".
