What's a controversial issue on which the average person who disagrees with you has better moral character than the average person who agrees with you?

Thinking that logic and reasons of fact is the only thing that matters. As much as these are needed, I'll always see one who disagrees and leans more to emotional intelligence and the ability to comprehend what is said (not only communicate), as one with better moral character.
