looks good! do you know if they dip in a lye or a baking soda bath? We dont have a lot of lye dipped pretzels over here but damn are they the best.

Yeah but so is baking soda! The pretzels get a bath in a solution of water and lye (or the baking soda, also this is where bagels get a malt or salt soltion bath) then that after the bath they are sprinkled with salt and baked. The solution breaks down something in the chemistry so when it bakes you get that flaky/chewy/crunch you can tell when somebody skips this step because they taste like just boring shaped bread without being dipped  Personally, I’ve only ever used baking soda, but that’s because I’m a pussy and I’m scared of touching and storing lye, but if I’m out and about, I will eat the fuck out of some lye dipped pretzels
