another reason i'm never buying macbooks (or apple hardware in general) whenever my macbook would break (which happened often), i spent ~7 days without it while it was being fixed at apple my usb-c stopped working on my thinkpad gen 10 (OLD MODEL), i chatted with lenovo and they sent a technician NEXT DAY to MY PLACE who fixed it in <30 minutes by installing a NEW BOARD and a NEW bottom cover FOR FREE

Frame user here. yes. You are the technician. You're only limited by available parts that can be delivered to your house and how fast they arrive.
