“OpenAI Files” got released today. seems like no one has a strong POV on this other than “wow thats a lot of files.”

nothing necessarily net new (or surprising), but allll the reporting on OpenAI in one place.

some of it seems superfluous (like OpenAI will now make money or “Sam is mean”), and then other parts (like Sam lying to his board and both Mira and Ilya saying theyre not comfortable with Sam leading us to AGI) make you pause and think.

There should be a law in tech: the more media drama surrounding a company, the more it defines the zeitgeist. Think Facebook in the early 2010s, Uber around 2015–2017, and now OpenAI

There are so many pivotal changes on the shoulders of a handful of people at the top of OpenAI. The ripple effects of OpenAI will be carried on for generations. 

No man will ever make all the right decisions with this much power. It's not possible with our human frailty. Does make one wonder the true story behind the scenes 🤔
