nadal to murray, djokovic, and federer: “at the end tennis is just a game. sometimes we feel it is a bit more but we understand at the end of the day, it’s really only a game. it’s a great message to the world that we can be good friends even if we had the best rivalries.” end of an era

no offence, but it's purely just nadal djoko and federer. the absolute peak and joy of tennis was watching them play. legacy.

I have been watching tennis all my life. The reason it was called the “big four” is that there was a period of time when it was only these players reaching the semis of every major tournament (masters 1000s included) and it was one of these players expected to win it. Murray was definitely in that group.
