a common theme across the 50+ interviews we've done in the last 10 days is that it is HARD for new users to get started, know where to cast, find their footing and like-minded people. starter packs, /gmfarcaster, FC newsletters, and finding a "onboarding buddy" help — what else? what needs to be better? how?

we perhaps need to think more expansively about the front door to farcaster right now the assumption is that it's warpcast but the front door can also be a new interaction model that just happens to be built on FIDs say a game targeting normal people, but the prompt to create an account is via @newcaster or similar They get that account because they wanted to play that game or experience that app, and because they now have an account they can explore the next room which is warpcast

hmmm, not 100% following. can you explain newcaster or creating new account? heard from devs that the cost of a new FID is prohibitive. will also DC you to learn more!

more here https://warpcast.com/vinayvasanji.eth/0x61df9151 but the tl;dr is that the current user journey to join fc is farcaster.xyz -> app or play store -> create account/FID -> open warpcast and then wonder what to do (newbie sees frames, starter packs, warps, channels and thinks wtf am i supposed to do here) rethinking the front door to farcaster means have a different entry point for creating a FID, can be something completely unrelated to the main snapchain data/feed a close parallel might be how apps use privy to give users a wallet via email signup. the downside is that your privy embedded wallet can be used in other places but its a bit of a fragmented experience if a user plays a game, or even say with my project a user visits lowercase to look up a term and then decides they want to contribute too, they can sign up for a FID directly in that game or my app - their initial reason for signing up is for a very specific/tight use case once they have a FID they now have access to the whole of FC
