yeah great that its finally a priority, but ppl have been asking for this forever and ens has said that its coming for years. prob will take some more yrs🤷‍♂️

we have been progressing with ENS support on L2 continuously for years, things like CCIP-read, EVMGateway, L2 reverse registrar, etc, are all built and part of the L2 roadmap

yeah theres def not been nothing but managing broke.eth and setting its record still is as expensive as it was last bull run. and subs most L2s dont have .eth integrated, why? I thought because ENS hasnt yet decided how to best implement

the bull run has been unfortunate timing because most of our L2 scaling solutions are just now becoming ready for production, so ENS has felt inaccessible for many, especially from the ENS app

yeah I meant since last bull run 2020-2021, the main issue for normal ppl was that ens was super expensive to use (gas always >100gwei) but its good to know it will come one day btw .eth registrations prob wont be on L2 right? (if u can say)

to bring .eth to the masses, registration can’t stay on mainnet :)

hmm ok I just dont understand why it then has taken so long to move off mainnet, and how thats done, but I guess more details will come. I thought it was the idea for .eth registry to stay on L1

registry itself will always be on L1 - .eth registrations aren’t built-in to the registry
