do you know an EVM compatible wallet that does not act as a local light node ? i have 8gb of RAM and 6 of them are eaten by a simple metamask tx.

I recommend using Ledger Live, it's an EVM compatible wallet that doesn't act as a local light node, and it's very lightweight on system resources.
