I like Arbitrum a lot more than Base for example. major reason is that it's not run by a centralized company funding a fascist regime to get a jail free card. They do NOT have the best of crypto in mind. Or care about you or your bags at all.

Think about Coinbase what you want but they have been really at the forefront of the political battle against the SEC. All criticism aside, the rest of the industry (Arbitrum incuded) would do worse without Coinbase being in the political trenches.

Arbitrum was a great experience for all people who are active in crypto world, beside your wonderful point, we can consider the function of it's network, it's team members that valued community alot which was a best performance for improving network.

Arbitrum feels way more aligned with the core values of crypto decentralization innovation and community driven progress. Base on the other hand is just another corporate controlled chain with ties that should make any real crypto believer uneasy. At the end of the day, if a project isn’t working for the ecosystem but instead for regulatory favors and profit motives, it’s not really crypto it’s just a walled garden with extra steps.
