Our 4th of July dinner was pretty awesome. I am glad we hung on to this bottle. It was definitely worth the wait.

At 29 years, I would say that it was in peak condition. Tannins had mellowed just the right amount to reveal the full depth of the fruit. The flavors kept developing on the palate for several minutes. An amazingly long and complex finish. While in its prime now, I can see this one lasting for many more years.
