A common misconception I see in product thinking / suggestions here: just do this thing I as a power user (or someone interested in decentralization) want. We're well past that from a growth standpoint. Settings and ethos aren't useful for driving at-scale consumer growth. The average new user is only interested in sign up or using Farcaster if they believe they will be entertained or make money (likely because a friend told them about it).

Exactly. Power user driven design often forgets that most users don’t care about principles they care about value. Entertainment, status, or income. Growth only comes when the average person sees a clear personal benefit.
