But IMO the intention behind the legalization of pot was a proactive initiative to stop the chance of uprising against the government.

Weed has the tendency to calm people, make them docile, apathetic, and unmotivated.

It's a modern day enhancement on bread & circuses. 

So I believe any action to eliminate weed laws is unlikely to pass and against the regimes goal 🤷‍♂️
