Yeah I’ve tried Gemma models but they seem like dumber versions of ChatGPT. I don’t quite have enough compute for the best open models

Claude Code got way too popular 😵‍💫 But yeah I’m also looking at how I can change my usage and habits, likely going back to a chat based setup vs agent. Not only is it harder to replace but I’ve lately found it too easy to just let it go wild and write way too much code (to a point where I just delete everything). 

Have you tried the Gemma models? Thought they were decent, but I also haven’t found a great local coding model

I hate Anthropic’s change to weekly limits. It’s solving the problem in the wrong way imo. But it is forcing me to seriously consider how to leverage local model. I just haven’t found anything I can actually run that’s better than llama3.2 and llama3.2 isn’t that good compared to the closed models.
