Perhaps it’s because I’m too much of a purist, but I cannot imagine using a terminal thats VC funded, includes a paid plan, and isn’t even open sourced. By all means use what works best for you, but I gotta draw a line 😅

Yes that was it - and ya early memeory leaks in electron made it unusable at the time and I think project died - it was a fun time though when everyone was using js for crazy shit

I believe they might have been Hyper? Was pretty aesthetic but unfortunately suffered due to Electron. Will definitely tag you when it’s ready if you’re interested! I think you might be surprised :)

I can’t remember which terminal was built with js / electron and had the lightning bolt ⚡️ logo… played with that when it first came out years ago but it was just a toy 
Still iterm / zsh for daily driver - but maybe I try something new

Fish is solid. I’m tempted to make it a default, but I’m also trying to keep the options noob friendly. In this case it’s important to keep it POSIX compliant so people can just copy and paste stuff like they expect to. Also will try to make it flexible so someone with a little more experience can pick what they like or don’t like.

I used fish for a few years before switching to zsh once it was the macOS default.

I installed fish again a few months ago and it felt like reuniting with an old friend. It just works so well out of the box 😭

Warp had a clean, electron like polish; felt like a TUI meets Raycast hybrid… but the responses didn’t reach my evals bar so I deleted it

Wave is a pretty solid open source alternative but it didn't really stick with me so I would love a Ghostty setup!
