Honestly shocked there's not a library for Wagmi React hooks for Uniswap. 

What am I missing? What's the best swap DX out there?

After much struggling I think you’re right; time to migrate to bhvr lolz

non api key approach for dex's is really difficult unfortunately, especially if you want an optimized price

0x api is great if you're willing to use one

Depends on the goal. Honestly an open source liquidity router would be a great public good
