I’m a huge nerd for etymology and slang in general.

Sadly the original mole photo got pruned it seems, but here's the cast.

Mole is a traditional Mexican dish that's essentially just a sauce. Dan often posts dishes he cooks, and in this case the presentation was much to be desired (most people are unfamiliar with mole). So naturally, most people on farcaster clowned him for a bit (as you can see in the replies and quote casts) and he's gotten way way better at plating since 😆

yes me too!! i became fascinated when realising that places in england which are 10 mins away from each other call a bread roll like 8 different things. 

it’s interesting seeing how phrases get adopted so quickly here

i even caught myself saying slop irl when i never used that word in that context before seeing dan then other people here use it
