In the long run it might sense though but very faint hope on that if we think finance is core to Web3 Social.

I'm bullish on people getting paid in Web3 and it will probably be part of everything we do here, hence a sound financial infra will be important. Right now FC welcomes all sorts, whether it's main/base/degen but it's a slight UX itch if you compare it to natively integrated chain with your social account.

struggling to understand how an integrated chain would offer much of a different experience. if anything, i think it could even be more limiting if you're dependent on a specific chain it's possible to create the most advanced financialized ux on farcaster today, someone just needs to build it

my gripe with lens has always been that their protocol is over engineered and doesn't belong on a blockchain. now they are adding another layer of zk proofs, which is a total overkill waste imo

Probably. I personally am just looking for a seamless experience. If it can achieve that, count me in. For most, those coming into socialfi in later years they might not even want to know anything about base/degen but at least they are on a chain.
