even if the infrastructure is a bit raw this is infinitely more than i have been able to achieve within the traditional financial systems that i have access to in south africa

it's optimized for local network processing vs processing txns outside the continent. 
crypto also competing with localized consumer behavior as well (ussd, etc). 
and crypto payments don't have risk and other things factored in, which by the time these are ready for enterprise consumer use, they will be and pricing will adjust as a result.
