Charge an additional fee to the first tipper and store it in a smart contract optimised for indexing

The farcaster network becomes a short term data availability layer / mempool for casts and proven valuable casts go forever onchain

Alternatively snapchain uses this as a signal for which casts not to prune

i agree with you. what i actually meant was to use that as a signal of which casts to prioritize not pruning. not saying snapchain should permanently store casts

how aligned is that signal with the intentions of the network?

let's say 50% of the casts with tips are spammy (substitute farm-y wlog)

as judged by a hypothetical median member of the community

wouldn't you want to design a better signal first?

Or even more straight forward, tip the validators to keep your cast.
