my wife takes edibles occasionally and we always get the bags that are like 10 pieces, 10mg each, total of 100 mg each bag. Sometimes on weekends when we are throwing down she’ll take like 40 or 50mg at the end of the night to max chill.

well you save a lot of money on taxes in my state by being a medical patient instead of recreational so she recently got her medical card. Afterwards she went to the dispensary to pick up some more gummies, got her usual, cool we saved some money too.

last weekend she ate 5 gummies because our boy was at his grandparents for the night so we were just gonna chill and watch a movie. Hour or so later she starts talking about how out of it she feels and how she thinks she needs to lie down, she doesn’t feel good, whole body situation. Was wondering if it was a new medication she started, we just kinda chalked it up to her not feeling well maybe coming down with something. She ended up crashing out on the couch with her arm hanging off petting the puppy for the remainder of the night lmao. 

We just finished setting up for our Fourth of July party and I asked her if she wanted some to relax before the party kicked off and on a whim I decided to check the bag of the gummies she takes. You can see where this is going.

Well it turns out when you have a medical card in my state you get access to stronger stuff and bigger quantities - I looked at the bag and it has 1000mg in the whole pouch (instead of the normal 100) and 20 servings, so instead of 10mg per serving it’s FIFTY. so last weekend when she took 5 she actually took 250mg HAHAHA

i don’t post about weed because it’s a disgusting habit & the community needs a hobby but for me i think it’s a better alternative to zoloft or lexapro (albeit a basil dose convinced out of necessity)

so i regularly consume 1000mg eddies plus a 1g 54% solvent-laced joint & then hop on calls afterwards (not always; there’s a time & place for this to reap benefit wrt work; but usually post-work, mostly for sleep)
 
nonetheless, i’ve been a daily habitual user for a decade & i hate it — it’s lost all leisurely enjoyment at this point 

i am aware this is an obscene dosage & don’t know what this says about me other than “good lord” but my therapist says maybe a pill ain’t that bad

after a couple decades of trying to self medicate depression with weed and a recent ADHD diagnosis, I'm taking the steps to try the legal options. I don't feel I've done a great job of managing it by myself and with more tools these days I'm open to assessing the otc meds again, at least in the short term.
