Crypto really is low status and trashy. It has afforded me a lot of opportunity but it’s also embarrassing and not something I am excited to tell people about

my experience in the past year:

"what do you do?" i build open source infrastructure

"oh what kind??" a bunch of stuff over the years, mainly smart contract stuff lately

"what are smart contracts?" they're programs that are guaranteed to execute with some amount of economic security, imagine a platform where countries can make agreements that they can't violate without defined repercussions... have you heard of ethereum?

A doodler and computerer. I like permissive/permissionless open source, smart contracts, p2p systems, room-scale VR, and NixOS.
