Ooh, meaty stuff! Of course they don't reason is my initial response, that's a human thing. They do of course self create n dimensional geometries of meaning in a manner hidden from us. Gotta read that paper and dive in!

Exactly! All pattern only exist when observed… can anything be said to exist if unobserved? (Religion aside) But to observe a pattern is to be a pattern. All pattern detection is based on internal patterns. We see the world as we are.
