Caster Rewards update

Starting this week — June 3rd to June 10th

1. Increased the recipient pool by 18% from 2,530 to 3,000

2. Increased the prize pool by 45% from $20,000 to $29,010 

3. Changes to tiers — top tier is now $600, new middle tier between $125 and $30

Rewards Algo Update

We're also updating the rewards algo this week

We're no longer going to count deleted casts, reactions, recasts or replies. This means in some cases, people will see scores go down mid-week.

We're also making a few other tweaks. Change will roll out later today. 

The algo is never going to be perfect, but the goal is to reward high signal top-level content on the network—from anyone!

If you check my usage in the past few weeks, both web and mobile, I believe you'll see for yourself that I'm among the most active users globally. 

Even though I haven't deleted any of my casts, I woke up this morning to a drop of around 500 points. If I know the reason for something, I never dwell on it. But when I don't know the reason, my motivation gets completely shattered — like it has been since this morning. In real life too, I mentally distance myself from anything that feels unjust. Please, just tell me the reason.

Yes, past interactions are regularly cleaned up, but the engagement I receive hasn't decreased. So what happened that caused a drop of about 500 points this morning?
