Watched Friendship over the weekend and was really disappointed. Was hoping for a good new comedy (haven’t had one in a long time) and it just felt exceptionally uncomfortable and unfunny. 

It was like “I Love You Man” and “Taxi Driver” got spliced together without any of the benefits lol

I know a lot of people like it so what am I missing?

We just watched it last night and loved it. Definitely not a normal comedy, tho. Anyone who doesn't like it is totally valid. It's nothing like an ITYSL skit beyond how it cultivates cringe. We found it to be a very entertaining dramedy and satire of bro movies like Fight Club, Office Space, The Hangover, etc.
