downstream of there’s not really any other proven crypto app business model so far other than swap fees

I do wonder if the success of the terminal/launchpad business has limited ppls imagination such that all the dev talent is just incentivized to build for that product space

yeah I'm not saying that I expect a bunch of them to succeed, just that this industry has misplaced guidelines about who is a "worthwhile" participant

the builder class will look down on the trader class, and most will agree with that assessment, even though the stats show the builders aren't adding anything more than the traders since most fail + the only use cases the builders have built that are "successful" are dependent on degenerate traders

Fwiw its definitionally extremely challenging to create not only a successful new business but also a new business model

Most of the people who end up trying to do something new/different just end up failing so you don’t hear about them 

the ones that do succeed are the Pump’s who create a new meta that others follow

for as much as we worship the buildoor in this industry most have shown they don't know what to do besides launch safe things they can cash out quick on
