Crypto is interesting in that using a product or being too close to it can shake you out of the token too early

When you adopt this framing it makes sense why the investor class doesn’t use the apps

would you say the investor class is better at picking winners? seems they've been pretty awful these last few years (lots of bets on new infra nobody wants to buy)

most of the top crypto VCs are doing great i would assume. the charts look down only but they got in at much lower prices and are probably chilling

VC is also a power law business - e.g. a16z led SUI series A, that alone is a 1000x and might have returned the fund (idk the details obv)

wait not a 1000x seems like a 100x-ish

i think still a fund returner if 25m investment --> 2.5B

yeah they hit winners here and there I'm just not sure they hit winners at a higher rate than the average degen who's curious and uses apps a lot

it's something I wish I had an accurate answer to, don't have the answer myself
