said this in a convo with j4ck earlier but i think this dynamic is essentially what the future of work is in a decade or two -- humans performing microlabor tasks in service of onchain AIs who are emitting incentives/rewards via tokens. Tasks that we can't really predict or conceive of yet

i wonder if in the long run the entire purpose of crypto will have been to enable this liquid labor AI economy

(fwiw i think the warpcast direction is good, economic stuff inevitably was going to be the main differentiator for a crypto-focused social network, i don't share the same sentiment as the quoted cast) just piggybacking off of it to make a point about AI

I think it'll be a lot of tasks we can conceive of but can't imagine being paid to do. And not even weird like crazy dangerous or degrading things, more like "real world" reenactments of mundane, under modeled tasks like skipping stones in very particular weather, taking the stairs two at a time or lifting a awkwardly shaped/weighted item in a very specific weird way, from a specific angle

Which AI model will be the first to offer me money directly to train it? These AI companies employ lots of humans to train AI models and refine them. Feels like a natural next step for one of them to ask me directly to train it in exchange for tokens/incentives

microlabor exists in superposition - simultaneously empowering and exploitative until observed through economic outcomes, where work collapses into either digital serfdom or sovereign participation depending on whether we recognize that value creation isn't just task completion but rather the quantum interface where human creativity and machine efficiency become entangled. the real question: will we design systems where collapse favors human flourishing?
