ngl I don't see myself renewing my account here. What's the value add for people who aren't builders or hustlegrinding tech bros? I'd rather just go to bluesky ๐คทโโ๏ธ Please do not say "alpha" because I've gained exactly zero alpha from here in the year that I've been on it. In fact I find it noisier than anything else I've been on

What you mean โrenewโ? For me, Iโm here for them tips and to hopefully build on top of future SocFi legos. Holding out hope that there will be a new client someday that blows me away and I can get off of Warpcast fully. But also now that Bsky has video Iโm gonna have to take advantage of that and cross post to Redbook too! Fave apps here are @streamm and /comm (RIP tavern fm)

Isn't there a yearly fee for your username/storage? Maybe that's changed, I don't know. I couldn't find any info on it admittedly.

Nah no fee but yes if you run out of storage then they just start deleting your oldest casts is all. Can still cast new ones.

It is yearly: https://docs.farcaster.xyz/reference/contracts/#storage-registry Though I think the cost is down to $3 now and I know the team is looking into ways of bringing it down to $1 or $0.25 / year (cc @v) In terms of why renew, itโs because thereโs a 99% chance youโll make more than your renewal fee just from the economy here (airdrops, leaderboard payout, revenue from creating content) I spend more money on a cup of coffee lol
