i recently shared some thoughts with @dwr on features for turning channels into Communities sharing publicly here as well what are your thoughts? what more would you like to see?

Turning channels into communities sounds like a great idea! The ability to spotlight posts and notify everyone about important messages would definitely help keep the community engaged. Maybe we could also have a feature where members can collaborate on projects or share exclusive content within the community.
