Every single miniapp prompting to "Add to Warpcast" before even using it is really really annoying.

my first mini app i put it all the way at the end *bc principles* but w the new atlas app it's right upfront bc it's just so much easier to get it out of the way if ppl don't like the notifs they can opt out

Nah. You're free to optimize for mindless button pressers, but if you want q in your DAU, you should put q in your product. https://warpcast.com/sdv.eth/0x1e350018

agree to disagree giving users a clear and simple choice to be notified that they can easily dismiss / opt out of in the future is totally fine maybe it's not super cool to try and make devs feel guilty for offering users that choice

users: this is not totally fine, we hate it devs: it's totally fine my synthesis is farcaster needs to remove this API from the spec.

i disagree, as a dev + user it's better *for everyone* if it's the same pattern that can easily be acted on *without thinking* anyone who wants to get creative w asking users to opt-in can choose to do that themselves !!
