“Coinbase Wallet” should be “Base App”

Having a piece of infrastructure and a specific client implementation share name removes credence from the infra actually being an open platform.

Imagine if the web was called "the Microsoft Internet", and Microsoft released a browser named "Microsoft Internet Explorer". Would you have built on that web?

On the other hand, Coinbase Wallet is super confusing and also a bad name (against the Coinbase App which is different and somewhat unrelated).

Still super confusing. IMO they should be completely separate names that are unrelated. One is a self custodied wallet that has little to do with Coinbase aside from the publisher, the other is a frontend for Coinbase.

Sure. Maybe they should just call the wallet "Coinbase", and the exchange "Coinbase Exchange" (which would just be a special-UX cutout of the wallet at that point)
