Honestly this X post is a masterclass in arttrolling. The aesthetic immediately pits against each other the Euros and the Yanks. 

Euros—> we enjoy life by smoking and drinking at noon on a workday, you overworked Yanks! 

Yanks—> that’s why your GDP is going down the shitter!

I dunno, there's something very kayfabe about this euro vs. yanks thing. I've never met a person IRL who actually gets worked up about this.

There’s def that but I would say there’s a long history of American-Euro trolling and it’s obvs very online now. But used to be reflected in movies like EuroTrip (the train scene with the creepy Italian guy played by Fred Armisen … mi escusi!). Or the dumb Americans (Griswold Family) in European Vacation knocking down Stonehenge with their cars haha

Yeah I mean I can respect very online things when they are amplifications of something that at least marginally exists IRL but stuff like this just feels like a psy op. Most Americans love to romanticize the Euro lifestyle, and most Euros envy and admire American prosperity and ingenuity.
