We had a gif for that :D it was really tricky to get right and the gif breaks Warpcast for some reason.

This also spawned an interesting question: what does defragmenting do when it's on a virtual machine?

🤔 💭 yeah...and for non-mechanical hard drives it became "obsolete" but i wonder which is a better analogy for the human flesh machine?

the vm OS believes that it is talking to the hardware controller through the disk driver. but the disk driver is a lier. It tells the vm OS the structure of the data and the OS tells the disk driver where to move the data. The driver lies and returns back success. the vm os lives in a hallucination of reality through the disk driver as a dream, the vm is in on the heist.
