Does anyone else think it’s kind of crazy how we haven’t apparently mastered like  breeding or bio-engineering a grass that doesn’t need mowed all the time?

For sure. I’m historically pro-prairie - lately I keep having to maintain an area for walking that doesn’t have grass too tall to tread. Also the tall stuff keeps breeding ticks and uhhh horse nettle and plants that are poisonous to certain creatures I try not to kill.

Personally I'd love most people to just stop mowing and let things grow. Sometimes it's needed like for playing games or whatever of course. Most of the time prairie > lawn.

I mean for the record I 100% agree. I’m not a conventional lawn supporter.
I just have parts of my plot I have to mow for practical reasons.

sometimes wildflowers are better than a green lawn. Or better yet, a vegetable garden.

Lawns shouldn't even be a thing 🤷‍♂️
