where do the funds come from? curious in what form it’s a “buyback”

They are a 25 days old crypto startup, not a huge corporation. But it's ok, it's a nice gesture to improve the morale.

Same reason that huge corporations do stock buybacks. Keep your holders happier I would assume. 

Better that their fee profit goes back into the coin. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Fees from Clunker. I guess it's ok to do this, but I don't really get the reasoning. 
Just ship, price will get better if the product is good, and it definitely has a potential.
