took a 2-day break to avoid another burnout even though im a burnout junkie ive marinated in my patterns long enough to see a stable improvement over picking up the signs and prioritizing my health. i used to need 1-2 month break from everything, now i need some days off to recover what made a big difference is focusing on finding what MY needs are, whereas before i was quite influenced by what everyone else signaled as rest. thats because its been super hard to identify my real needs. Sometimes, i still do. but now i am searching inwards to find them it takes time, lots of patience & compassion. im not the best at handling that, but trying has definitely improved my quality of life
