got home from a week trip and discovered the power went out 20 min prior to getting home. Itโs 94 degrees out within an hour, the internet slowed to a crawl as all the neighbors started using their phones. while i was fine with this, this caused my wife and daughter to keep asking if we could go somewhere where thereโs internet weโre now currently somewhere with internet ๐

We had a power outage a couple years ago and it was the lack of wifi that was the biggest issue. More important than electricity and more important that running water for shorter durations. Crazy.

We bought a $200 battery charger thingy just for this. Can plug Starlink in for a total of 7 hours during a power outage just for the wifi. Worth it, you're so right.

I have a large generator, but the initial estimate was a few hours and since the doors need to be cracked for the plugs to come in, I thought we could waitโฆ. I was wrong๐ i will look into this!
