I've been loyal to namecheap for over a decade but I feel like they're stuck in the past. UI is crusty. No first party CLI. No dark mode (???) What's a modern registrar with a healthy list of TLDs?

i moved to cloudflare, but not bc their domain service is so good on its own. mostly bc their other services.

Been on porkbun. Can sometimes catch a first year deal and then it’s competitive after that. API is robust enough for others to make dev tools with. I have it in Raycast.

What do you actually need from a registrar? You can just keep the registrations at Namcheap and manage DNS via Cloudflare if you’re looking for a modern interface for that side of things.

Totally agree. Namecheap feels like it’s been asleep at the wheel for years. UI looks like 2012, and no CLI or dark mode in 2025? That’s just lazy.
