interesting keyboard.   is it more useful traveling than on a desk?

This is the first time I've used it for this very niche use case!

I do like its compactness but to me the main draw is the split for the ergonomic layout. It's also more comfortable to type on since I have this flashed to use Colemak-DH which is optimized for English words

5 letters away from completing the alphabet on Colemak-DH 🤓

Far from fluent!

The initial few letters were frustrating but after getting the home row + 50% of the top row its snowballed since. It's been thoroughly enjoyable.

On qwerty I top out at 100 wpm but my form isn't great. I think with colemak I can maybe go 110-120 (totally guessing) but tbh it is indeed for comfort.

As LLM chats become more prominent, I don't think it hurts to sharpen one's typing skills!

thanks for sharing! i had to look up the kb from your link and search for colemak-dh, so i’ve got a few q’s:

✔️ how long until you felt “fluent” on colemak-dh?
✔️ was the switch from qwerty tough?
✔️ did you do it mainly for comfort, or do you feel like you type faster now?
