Since Spam labels are now public, I’ve spent some time looking at things these accounts have in common vs accounts that don’t get labeled and this is my initial advice for people who’ve been labeled. 

1. STOP sharing frames. If you didn’t build it, don’t share it. 
2. Stop recasting. Instead, quote cast and spell out why you are sharing it. What makes this worthy of being shared?
3. Ensure 80% of your timeline is original content. Don’t steal it from the web, make something unique and genuine. It better to not cast at all than to cast slop. 
4. Only reply to people in channels. If someone casts to their home feed and doesn’t follow you, don’t comment. 
5. Stop tagging people. They don’t get notified of the tags anyway. It’s pointless to tag them.

well done! tbh i read the whole thing and im still puzzled by what ive done (at least recently) that got me labeled as spam. Also, as a person labeled a “1” i’m curious if i should be deleting casts and replies ive made that i THINK could have been contributing, or if just not doing certain things moving forward will be enough?

thanks for sharing. though this does add further questions as i’ve been labeled as “might engage in spammy behavior” let me see if going down the rabbit hole on the post/s clarifies at all.

i am labeled a “1” aka “might engage in spammy behavior” -So i replied to V and asked what a person that doesn’t participate in the activities listed on the github readme is supposed to do to course correct. I doubt i will get a response from him. i asked dan if being labeled a 1 disqualifies you from the rewards leaderboard a day or maybe two ago- he also didn’t/hasn’t replied. 

With no clear information to point towards what i’m “doing wrong” i’m kinda feeling like i should just abandon farcaster entirely.
