Couldn't agree more. I've been giving feedback to a lot of builders from mini-apps to social/credibility tools outside of Farcaster and I generally find I'm giving the same feedback:
There is so many apps I'm testing that if you expect a user to just come back organically you are going to make it really hard. Onboarding journeys and comms (not just Notifications if a FC mini-app) are important to remind me to come back.

Farcade

Black hat motivators like loss and avoidance have been well used and can kill competition a bit too for new mini apps. E.g. You make a game mini-app? Going to be hard to get me to switch out /farcade as I've put a lot of time into levelling up and don't want to lose momentum now also only have enough time for 1-2 games a day.

yeah agreed

the novelty of new mini apps has worn off for me so it needs to be genuinely compelling in terms of fun or utility
