With base flashblocks is Chainlink now faster? How does one use it with viem? I haven't seen anything in chainlink docs is it really just using the preconf RPC Url ? because then chainlink is still in block n+2 aka 6s delay minimum cc @n @jc @sohey

Yeah... afaik, flashblocks is a fancy way of saying the tx will be extremely likely to land in the next block More of a mempool optimization than a functional difference that will be felt by app devs for the foreseeable future

I haven't tried it, but practically speaking I think you could use something like viem to ask for the tx receipt and get it back prior to the tx landing in the next block. *At best* with Chainlink vrf this would cut the final block time by 2s - 200ms -- so ~4.2s vs 6s
