No. Just go for it! Really can’t hurt. Even filling out the application is a good exercise. YC doesn’t care if you have PMF entering, you just need explosive growth metrics. 

It’s actually easier to apply when you don’t have PMF as the regular growth metrics can’t apply. And if you apply a second time they compare your first and second application, so no PMF on first application find and expectation of explosive growth metrics on second good. 

Re: family in Europe, average seed round is around $1.5m~ at the end of the program. So if you can take out an LOC or use your savings that time you’ll make it back in 3 months.
