Anyone know how much safer a SUV is vs a sedan? Is the diff significant?

It’s not suv vs. sedan, it’s older vs. newer. They’re all subject to the same safety standards. Also keep in mind, the heavier your vehicle, the more energy you’re introducing to any potential impact. Additional size doesnt provide you any actual benefit here, having the most effective crumple zone does.
