just once, i’d like to be able to talk to [insert name of a person i feel safe around] about what i’ve been going through as i work through past traumas, without falling apart. is that too much to ask.

i know crying is okay, but i would like to be able to get my point across without bawling. it’s so difficult to do it coherently. it’s already difficult enough to open up this bigly. sigh.

crying signifies strong feelings, proving that there’s strength in vulnerability. criticizing emotion rather than feeling it in real time is the opposite of progress. you’re strong for carrying such heavy feelings

promise i’m not criticizing that i cry. i cry easy and i think that’s ok. but in the moments where im trying to express how i feel/have felt i just want to be able to get my point across without falling apart every sentence i try to speak.
